COVID continues to rise over Athens area, especially in Jackson

COVID-19 numbers continue to edge up in Clarke and some neighboring counties. As of Tuesday’s Georgia Department of Public Health daily COVID-19 status update, Clarke’s two-week rate of new infections reached 285 per 100,000 population. That rate has been climbing for three weeks after dipping as low as 200 in mid-October. Jackson remains the county with the most COVID activity, however.
