New cases of COVID decline at UGA

The number of University of Georgia students reporting positive COVID-19 tests fell significantly last week, the university reported Wednesday. The university reported a total of 421 positive tests for the week of Sept. 7-13. Almost all (404) were students. The previous week, the university recorded 1,412 COVID-19 infections through its “DawgCheck” reporting system, which relies primarily on voluntary reporting. Of those, 1,402 were students, one was a faculty member and 14 were staff.
