Trickum Middle School teacher Jennifer Guyre recently asked the Gwinnett County Board of Education to implement the ban in middle schools to make it harder for students to conceal weapons. Guyre was stabbed by one of her students after a class last October. The pupil also threatened a classmate after he stabbed the teacher, according to Guyre.
