There are times when National EMS may not have an ambulance available within the individual zones that it serves in Athens-Clarke and Oconee counties, but it’s not necessarily because those ambulances are out of the two counties on non-emergency runs, the service’s chief operating officer told Athens-Clarke County’s mayor and commissioners.
