Tuesday’s edition of “Prime Time Politics’’ on Georgia Public Broadcasting focused on health care in Georgia.
The first segment featured Commissioner David Cook of the state Department of Community Health, and Ralph Hudgens (pictured above), the state’s insurance commissioner. Cook and Hudgens explored such issues as Medicaid funding, access to health care, insurance mandates and health care reform.
A journalist roundtable followed, as host Scott Slade was joined by Tom Crawford of the Georgia Report, Walter Jones of Morris News Service and yours truly of Georgia Health News. Topics discussed included the cost of health care, pre-existing conditions, the proposed increase in the tobacco tax, and health care reform.
