If you need help determining what consumer rights you have with group health plans, individual health plans, COBRA and other health care situations, Georgetown University in 2009 wrote a report explaining Georgia insurance law. It also has rules for small employer health plans, financial assistance opportunities and much more, including a glossary of insurance terms. The report doesn’t reflect the changes required by this year’s health care reform law, enacted this year. Still, the report gives good basic information:
