Cigar smoking will soon be permitted in certain Augusta venues. The changes create an exception to Augusta’s smoke-free ordinance, which banned smoking in all indoor public places. All efforts to limit the ordinance have been roundly criticized by doctors and other health officials, including at Tuesday’s meeting.
