Floyd waiting for guidelines before spending COVID relief funds

Floyd County commissioners and administrative officials are still waiting on some final guidelines before they begin discussing uses for American Rescue Plan Act funds. The county should be receiving around $19.1 million from the federal COVID relief act. County Manager Jamie McCord said they have already received some of the money, but they don’t want to begin making plans until they receive further guidance on how they’re allowed to spend it.
