Bringing soccer to children with disabilities

On a recent Sunday afternoon, Savannah’s newest young superheroes gathered on a soccer field and were introduced to Coach Mac & Cheese and Coach Meatball. Those are not their true identities. Coach Mac & Cheese is Brad Nein, Vice President of the Tormenta FC Academy, which develops youth soccer players and operates teams in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry. Coach Meatball is a young soccer player, Benedictine senior Blake Stover. But knowing their audience, a large group of children with disabilities, Mac & Cheese and Meatball were like the comfort food of coaches.
