Health officials not worried about shortage of flu vaccine

As a new flu season arrives in the midst of a pandemic, local experts are not worried about a possible flu shot shortage as a result of an expected increase in demand for the vaccine. East Central Health District Director Stephen Goggans said officials haven’t heard of flu shot shortage issues in the area. He said the district made its usual order of flu shots in the spring, before the pandemic, but is expecting more to come from the federal government through the state.
