New GEMA director talks about COVID-19 strategy

Earlier this month, Gov. Brian Kemp named GEMA’s new leader, former Georgia State Patrol Captain Chris Stallings, after longtime director Homer Bryson retired. Director Stallings joined “Closer Look” host Rose Scott on Monday’s edition of the program to discuss the role GEMA plays in monitoring the states’ number of hospitalizations and distributing personal protective equipment and other essential goods to nursing homes and long-term care facilities around the state.
