The Savannah Chatham Public School District pushed back the start of the high school football season to Oct. 1, while sports such as softball, volleyball and cross country will be delayed until Sept. 1, it was announced at an informal board meeting Wednesday. SCCPSS Athletic Director John Sanders also announced that teams will play a schedule only against other district teams.
