Kemp says he wants college football to be played if safety ensured

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who reopened businesses ahead of many states and has clashed with mayors about mask mandates, took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to express his desire to have football played if it can be done safely during the pandemic. “Across the South, college football is a sacred tradition, and I want to see it played this year if we can ensure the safety of players, coaches and staff,” Kemp wrote.
