Lodging tax revenues in Richmond and Columbia counties are down 40% so far this year, illustrating the damage COVID-19 has done to the hotel industry. The COVID-19 pandemic continues eroding the area’s hospitality industry, denying local governments hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue so far this year.
