As of Wednesday at 8 a.m., Savannah’s mask ordinance has been in effect for one week, and so far, police have not issued any citations. But they’ve handed out plenty of masks. Over the Fourth of July weekend, Savannah police handed out 660 masks to people who weren’t wearing one, according to Savannah police spokeswoman Bianca Johnson.
