Testing demand strains supply in Chatham County

Chatham set records for the numbers tested at least two days last week, topping 1,000 one day. By Monday, test demand looked like it might outstrip supply in the county, Coastal Health District Director Dr. Lawton Davis told the Savannah City Council at a special meeting called for a virus update. Public health officials had to turn people away from the Sallie Mood site last week to finish by closing time, Davis said.
