Severe thunderstorms continue to move east as a strong cold front sweeps through North Georgia. Tornado warnings for Barrow, Jackson, Elbert and Hart counties have been allowed to expire, according to the National Weather Service. Much of North Georgia remains under a tornado watch until 1 p.m. While the northwestern Atlanta suburbs are no longer included in the watch area, the Weather Service has extended the watch into east Georgia until 5 p.m.
