

Georgia Cancer Center, Clark Atlanta join forces to fight prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is a leading cause of men’s cancer deaths, especially in African American men, but two teams dedicated to changing that have joined forces. Dr. Jorge Cortes, the director of the Georgia Cancer Center, and Dr. Shafiq A. Khan, the director of the Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University, took the first step Tuesday in forging an alliance both believe will take advantages of each other’s strengths.
