An augmented reality simulation tested students at Lucy C. Laney High School on their ability to focus with their phones in the car. Less than 30 seconds after the door closed, Aijah Beard crashed the car. The 11th-grader was one of about a hundred Lucy C. Laney High School students who participated in an Augmented Reality Distracted Driving Education Simulator on Tuesday.
