The American Academy of Pediatrics has released new guidelines for parents on use of media (TVs, computers, smartphones) by infants and toddlers.

In a new GHN Doctor’s Column, Dr. David Jones, chief of pediatrics for Kaiser Permanente of Georgia, writes that media use can be damaging for young children. “Excessive television viewing during early childhood years continues to be associated with developmental delays,’’ Jones says.
