UGA president defends campus reopening plans

University of Georgia President Jere Morehead and University System of Georgia Chancellor Steve Wrigley defended UGA and university system re-opening plans in letters to UGA faculty groups Tuesday. The faculty senates of the Mary Frances Early College of Education and the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences last week adopted resolutions questioning those plans and saying some aspects could even be life-threatening.
