Savannah students to learn from home ‘until further notice’

Savannah-Chatham County public school students won’t be returning to their physical classrooms the day after Labor Day as tentatively scheduled. The revised school calendar that delayed the first day of school from Aug. 5 to Aug. 19 appears to show that students would be returning to in-person learning on Sept. 8. However, at the time, Superintendent Ann Levett said that returning to face-to-face instruction would happen at that time only if the COVID-19 transmission rate was deemed safe.
