Tybee mayor blasts Kemp decision to reopen beaches

Newly empowered by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s Thursday, April 2, decision to reopen the state’s beaches as part of his shelter-in-place order, many swimsuit-clad youths enjoyed Tybee’s shore to the fullest on Saturday, even while Georgia State Patrol officers monitored the sands. Meanwhile, Tybee Island Mayor Shirley Sessions blasted Kemp’s nullification of the municipality’s much stricter emergency measures.
