After Dorian, a sigh of relief in Savannah area

After more than a week of nervous anticipation, Hurricane Dorian passed by Savannah far enough offshore and long enough after high tide to minimize its effects here. Residents who stayed in town, and even on Tybee, woke up Thursday morning to a blustery day and what looked like the aftermath of a strong thunderstorm.
